We had a great time gathering in person on Sunday, August 18th. I appreciate and love the community of All Saints. The afternoon was filled with a sense of family and friendship. It was a beautiful Seattle day as we gathered to share a meal, catch up, and hear where our virtual community is heading.
A special thank you to Terri Morgan for being a wonderful host and Randy and Rosanne Green for a delicious taco bar that received several raves and many trips back for more!
I am deeply grateful for this community that not only believes in what we are about but also actively supports us. Your understanding of how we can impact the world with the powerful good news of Jesus Christ is invaluable. We are launching out in a unique way that is consistent with what we have always been as a Jesus community. I thank you all for being integral partners on this journey.
I am also thankful for our board's commitment and wisdom. Brad Root, Brittani Dinsmore, and Raphael Garcia encourage this community and me in many ways.
Get ready because we have a few new elements that will enhance our engagement and connection. Stay tuned for these exciting updates! Here is a sample:
Doubters Mailbox: We want you to send questions about faith, and we’ll answer them honestly in a regular segment.
Seeking through Scripture: 10 min podcast twice a week deriving wisdom from scripture.
Communion: 15 min once a month, Zoom
Open prayer: 15 min once a month, Zoom (praying on requests that have been sent in; open to requests as
they arise)
Topical ‘Mixed Bag’: Live Zoom for conversation around a given topic; 30 min
• Hurt by the Church
• Christianity and late-stage capitalism
• Jesus and politics
• Mental health
• Lifestages: dating, marriage, career, living independently, parenting, retirement
I am eager to hear your thoughts. Please let me know.
